We would like to acknowledge and pay our respect to First Nations; past, present and emerging. We acknowledge that sovereignty has never been ceded. Octopus Tree Apparel was founded on Taungurung Country, developed on Wadawurrung Country and inspired by the Octopus Tree on Jaithmathang Country.

Hey there!! We're Caz and Aisha! We met at uni studying outdoor education. Through our years of study, we have become close friends. Then, during one of uni fieldtrips we had a silly little idea… to create the biggest outdoor brand the world has ever seen ;). Our good mate, Poppy, has also jumped on the team by helping out with marketing and financing!

What makes us different to other outdoor brands you may be wondering? We have a strong passion for outdoor places and want to spread awareness about the ecological decline these places are facing. We couple this with fun, iconic and wearable designs!

 

For those who don’t know… the Octopus Tree is a massive Snow Gum located in the Bogong High Plains (Jaithmathang Country), just under Mount Nelse. We have had the privilege of visiting this special place on multiple occasions. We have also developed a strong connection and appreciation for the Australian Alps. Through our travels, we have learned about the environmental decline in the Alps, particularly Snow Gum dieback. This issue has prompted us to create awareness about the Octopus Tree and all Snow Gums!
